I think Leeds away was the last time he really looked bang on it, doesn't seem that long ago, but checking the fixtures it was 6 games back now. Moyes must be pulling his hair out given he literally has zero other options.

On a side note, that Genk lad up front who we've been linked with was shockingly bad.

WHUDeano and daveyg, Antonio has been a bit crap for a while now, but he keeps popping up and scoring even though he is playing crap. Not sure what to make of it, but I’m not too worried and want him to start every game if he isn’t fit.

Antonio's decision making has been very poor. But then again he's always done that.

Think it's more noticeable when he isn't scoring. He can't be on top of his game all the time and hopefully just a short off form.run and will be back giving defences the runaround soon.

Funnigly enough I am a tad worreid about Antonio. He doesn't seem100% focused.. To many errors of judgement.
He;s been here before and come back stronger.
Maybe Moyes will play a false 9 against Liverpool and he knows it. Strange bit Antonio is not your average player.
He may also think he should of opted for England seeing as we don't have a proper inform striker.

I’m guessing we’re through because of our head to head results with Genk? We need to win the group though, to avoid a last-32 game against one of the Champions League third-placed teams. Winning the group would be a great achievement.

BT sport were saying if the match Dinamo Zagreb v Rapid Vienna ended in a draw we would automatically go through, then at the end of the programme said if either team won we would still automatically go through

Anybody know what the scenarios are?

Antonio's form is worrying at the moment. His head isn't in the right place at the moment, not sure whether he has something going on behind the scenes...he just doesn't look like scoring at the moment and more worryingly he hasn't been in the right positions to finish off moves. If we had any decent sort of back up option, I'd seriously be looking at starting him in front of Antonio against Liverpool. I'd maybe even look at a false 9 and bring Antonio on in the 2nd half or at half time.

With a good defence, centre mid verging on world class, and Benrahma, Bowen, Fornals all looking like they could chip in with 30 goals between them them this season, having a number 9 who can realistically hit 20 will either win us a trophy or get us 4th place this season.

If everyone stays fit, Antonio holds the key to everything. He just looks like he needs a proper kick up the arse at the moment.

Not sure how we didn't win that given all the chances in the second half. Luck not on our side tonight.

Annoyingly means we have to take the Vienna return match seriously to top the group, even though any team we put out should win. Don't really want a winner takes all scenario against Zagreb, as we've crashed that bus many a time in the past.

Disappointing
Soucek is a good player, but annoying all the same.
Obviously we go through in 1st place, we took 4 points off the 2nd best team. Still hasn’t to be done, but looking forward to the knockout stages.
Hope we can still give Liverpool a tough time.

Setup was all wrong that first half. Space all over the pitch for them to use, players switching off or just being too slow and not alert enough. Masuaku anonymous for most of it, Noble was back to his worst. Just way off the pace, beaten time and again. Caught in no mans land. Rice trying to cover the whole pitch. Up front we were toothless. Antonio has played better, didn't look like the strong player we know he can be. Bit clumsy and lethargic.

Second half better, especially after the subs. Not too sure about Kral as Lanzini was really good I thought.
Benrahma had a strong game. Much better when moved to the middle, ran a lot and his second goal out of nothing is what we need to see more of in tight games. Shame it wasn't the winner.
Soucek can't get a break. He finally scores but in the wrong net. Other than that I thought he made a real impact coming on.
We missed so many chances in the last 30mins.

I don't know what was up with the pitch but players were slipping and falling over every few seconds.

All in all pleased that we came back well from an early setback and as a game it was open and great to watch.

credit to genk, they stood out as the best of the three opponents first time round and turned up again. games like this will be something draw upon in the knock out stages, we continue to show great spirit and the ability to bounce back. look like we're at full strength going in to sunday, happy days
